1. Choose to be close friends with those you wish to become

2. A friend is always loyal and doesn't whisper secrets 

3. Be kind, encouraging, and honest with your friends

Repent if you over-promise your friends - Prov 6:3

Gossip destroys friendship - Pr. 17:17

Forgiveness and loyalty win - Pr. 17:9

Offense is awful - Pr 18:19

Kind people have lots of friends - Pr. 19:6

Stay away from angry or hot-tempered people - Pr 22:24

Be honest and care for your friends - Pr. 27:6,9
