Discipleship is often said to happen in circles, not rows. Jesus lived with His disciples, they saw every side. They saw him mad, happy, sad, etc. He showed them by example how to approach life as a follower of God. The disciples in turn followed that example, drew close to one another and relied on each other, for prayer, for assistance, for friendship.
