What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Quick Note From Pastor Tim

"How can two walk together unless they agree..." - Amos 3:3
I know we must be able to  agree in order to walk together. But I'm concerned with the level of discord within the Church because of disagreements. Brother and sister lashing out at one another because of perspective difference, politics, and the Scriptures! My hope is that you would not use a doctrinal statement as path to strife, but rather find where you can agree, perhaps learn, and even model Solomon's wisdom
"Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling." Prov. 20:3
Let's find where we agree and show the world how much we love one another!

Core Beliefs

•   We believe...
•   You are valuable
•   God's not done with you
•   God is fun, cool, and holy
•   Everyone gets another chance
•   God cares deeply about humanity
•   We can make a difference in the world
•   You are one of a kind and we can't do without you
•   Humanity is hungry for the power of God, not a pretty church
•   The church must change its approach & style to reach the next generation

Doctrinal Statement

God

We believe in one God, Maker of all things and being in Trinity of the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the person - Holy Spirit.

Jesus

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Bible

The Bible is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God and is the rule for life and conduct of the believer.

The Fall

Man was created good and upright, but man, by voluntary transgression, fell and the only hope for redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was virgin born and who lived a sinless life.

Salvation

It is the grace of God that brings Salvation. Man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and by being justified by grace through faith. The evidence of this "New Birth" is a witness of the Holy Spirit inwardly, and a changed life both inwardly and subsequently outwardly.

The Church

The Church is the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given the Church gifts to help the Church grow and minister to humanity.

Healing

Jesus not only suffered for forgiveness, but suffered for our health as well. By faith we receive this important work Jesus accomplished on the Cross to heal us spirit, soul, and body.

Baptism

Water: Immersion into water which is the outward expression of the inward work of Christ, which acknowledges the work of the cross in our lives.
Spirit: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Ghost, accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, and with this second work of grace comes the power to be a witness as seen in the nine gifts of the Spirit, manifested as He will for the benefit of all.

Ressurection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom.
