1 Peter 2:17
To honor is to place value on a person or thing and show respect, deference and reverence due to that value
1. Honor God - Reveals itself as "Fear of God" in our daily lives - Luke 12:5, Malachi 3:16-18
2. Honor People - They are God's children and God's creation - Phil 2:13, Matt 5:43-48
3. Honor the King - Show respect and deference to those in authority - Romans 13:1-7
Respect: treating with dignity that which is valuable
Deference: submitting to someone because of the position and authority they hold
Reverence: to humble yourself and obey out of deep respect
