Faith In Action

Scriptures: Mark 4:35-41, Romans 4:16-22

1. Faith in God comes from knowing what God wants to do and his ability to do it.
2. Faith is put into operation verbally through declaration and demand.
3. When you believe something you rely on it in equal proportion, this is hope.
4. Actions show what your truly dependent on, they are a barometer for your faith.

Romans 4:18-21
v. 18 - Even when there was no reason to expect anything, Abraham kept expecting something—believing that he would become the father of many nations.
v. 19 - He didn't fix his mind on the negatives, but on the promise. He didn't rely on what He could provide to the promise.
v. 20 - He didn't hesitate at the magnitude of the promise through unbelief - He expected God to make due on what He had promised.
v. 20 - His faith was strengthened by praising God for His power and greatness, for praising God for His ability and willingness to perform His promise.
v. 21 - He filled his mind with the conviction of the promise. He regularly filled himself completely full that God was able to fulfill the promise
